Yes, all our products are fully compliant with Australian standards and Australia’s NCC and most of our models will notify you via the warnings box if your design falls outside of Australian standards. This ensures that our staircases, as well as other architectural pieces, meet the rigorous safety and quality requirements set forth by Australian regulations.  

At iFab Direct, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our custom-made products. While returns are not available for bespoke items created to your specifications, we understand the importance of satisfaction and peace of mind. For standard stock items, returns are possible under certain conditions such as restocking fees. Please see our terms and conditions and returns and shipping pages for specific information.

Yes, all our products are powder coated ready for installation. At times we will paint them in house by our speciality paint team if a custom colour has been requested.

When we design our products, we aim to provide our clients with products that are not only of the highest quality but also convenient and easy to assemble on site, saving you time and effort during the installation process.

Not exactly, but it’s very close. The model you see represents a draft that will undergo further refinement. After you submit your input dimensions, our design team reviews the model through our design program and conducts a thorough QA check. While the dimensions you provide remain unchanged, we ensure that all components are properly aligned, free of clashes, and positioned accurately before finalizing the design. This step guarantees that the finished product works as intended.

iFab Direct fabricates products to high tolerances, but due to the industrial nature of some items, minor production defects or movement from thermal distortion and bolted connections may occur. Tolerances of +/- 5mm are considered acceptable under the terms of sale. Glass panels are made to high standards but may exhibit natural variations in clarity, color, and texture, influenced by factors such as temperature and humidity during production. While inspected before delivery, slight imperfections may occur once installed. Timber used in joinery or treads may have natural variations in color and tone due to environmental factors. Changes in temperature and humidity can cause timber to shift. iFab Direct uses powder coating for finishing, which is cost-effective but may result in minor imperfections such as blemishes or discoloration. While quality assurance processes aim to minimize defects, minor issues are considered acceptable, with major defects addressed by iFab Direct upon request, though additional charges may apply for replacements. All our products come with shop drawings, instructions, and all the necessary parts for installation. We design our architectural elements to ensure a straightforward process, allowing you or your contractors to install them with ease. Installation must be completed by a licensed tradesperson of your choosing. Most of our products are designed to bolt together, following the provided instructions for simplicity. Whether you’re installing staircases, windows, or balustrades, we provide detailed guidance every step of the way.

We pride ourselves on our quality assurance process, which includes imagery documentation during fabrication, and all products are custom-built to your exact specifications. Its very important that the dimensions you enter have been double checked as we strictly do not offer refunds or remakes if they are not. As all items are custom made, we can not replace them if your input dimensions are incorrect or if you make a change on site.  If the items you ordered are fabricated incorrectly as per the drawings, we will ship a new one immediately for you.
